Advanced settings

The Advanced tab contains optional settings that are not required for basic use.

Update channel

The Update Channel defines which release type the unit uses. Leave this set to STABLE unless you have explicitly chosen to participate in the BETA programme. Beta discussion happens in the Sonik community forum.

Auto update

Enable Auto Update to install updates automatically without manual intervention. This setting requires Reboot Schedule to be enabled as well.

Web authentication

With Web Authentication you can restrict access to Sonik’s web interface by requiring a password. Useful on shared networks.

Feedback and diagnostics

The buttons at the bottom of the page cover operations that are rarely needed. Send Feedback is the most useful of these — it creates a log archive and sends it to the Sonik team. Use it when reporting an issue; it gives the team the debug information needed to analyse the problem.
