Roon
Roon is the default streaming protocol in Sonik and works out of the box — no configuration needed.
After installation, your Sonik unit will appear automatically in Roon as a new audio endpoint. Go to Settings → Audio in Roon to enable it.
Display and remote control
If you have an official Raspberry Pi Touchscreen connected, Sonik can show Roon’s now-playing screen and provide playback controls directly on the display. Configure this in the Display tab of the web interface.
Remote control via Flirc, OSMC, or a generic USB input device is also supported. Configure it in the Remote tab.
Both display and remote features require Sonik’s Roon Extension to be enabled in Roon (Settings → Extensions).
UPnP Bridge
The UPnP Bridge service extends Roon’s reach to UPnP devices. It bridges a UPnP streamer into Roon by presenting it as a Squeezebox device — which Roon supports natively. This is useful when you have a UPnP-capable streamer that does not support Roon’s RAAT protocol directly.
Enable it from the Services tab.
